The Resilience and Energy Committee advises the Town Council on short and long-term strategies to:
Promote energy efficiency
Create savings and reduce the environmental impact of Town energy usage through conservation and the use of sustainable energy resources
Provide education outreach and assistance to the citizens of Barrington in attaining these objectives

Lunar New Year Open House
Join the community to celebrate the Lunar New Year
Activities will include:
- Traditional dumpling making (and eating)
- Red envelope fortunes (bring coins and small bills from any currency from around the globe you might have)
- Paper cut decorations

Bay Spring Community Center Construction Update & Public Forum
Join the Town of Barrington and the Friends of the Bay Spring Community Center in a discussion about changes coming to the center. As a result of a state grant, we will be evolving the building to serve community needs better. You are an important stakeholder in this decision so please join us and share your thoughts to help steer the future of this important resource.
Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting
The Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is charged to advise the Town administration, Planning Board and Town Council on bicycle and pedestrian projects, plans and policies, fostering a transparent process for decisions regarding bicycles and pedestrians. The Committee will provide feedback and input on implementing the Town's Complete Streets Plan, focused on creating, connecting, and promoting safer streets and routes in town. Songs for Swings - Concert Fundraiser for Button Hole Golf Course
Join us for "Songs for Swings," a fundraising event to help youth golfers embark on their golf journey. Open Space Committee Meeting
The Open Space Committee is charged with the implementation of the Town’s Open Space Plan and the open space provisions of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. The Committee shall make recommendations for future acquisitions of open space parcels and recommend guidelines and priorities for the use, improvement and management of open space throughout town, including environmentally sensitive conservation areas, farmland, trails and passive recreation areas within parks.

Enigmatica presents Music for a Winter’s Day
Enigmatica's BSCC concert on December 8 at 2:00 PM, "Music for a Winter's Day," will present pieces from their 5 CDs, including their 2024 CD release, "The Road Less Traveled." The ensemble will also play music for the winter holidays written by a variety of composers, from the Bach to the 21st Century.

Enigmatica and Marilynn Mair will have CDs for sale at the event for holiday shopping.
Enigmatica is a New England-based mandolin ensemble directed by Marilynn Mair. Part chamber orchestra and part plucked-string double-quartet, Enigmatica performs a variety of music: Baroque, Brazilian, eclectic contemporary, and Americana pieces written by group members and friends. The ensemble features instruments of the mandolin family — mandolin, mandola, octave mandola, and 6- and 7-string guitars. Ensemble members come from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
